Want one more of night of terror with the Sabbat? The premier Sabbat horror immersive experience is coming back for one more night, this coming September 2020 to Austin, Texas! Dance in the blood rave! Leap in the fire dance! Dig your way out of your own grave!
Every run of the Night in Question gets better. The feedback has been fantastic, and we’re going to make this next night the best one yet. And as always, splatterpunk as Hell itself.
Only 16 weeks until the Sabbat run rampant, and we’re announcing our story lead, Vampire: The Masquerade author and larpwright Rachel Wilkinson!
Rachel is a writer, digital content creator, and a podcaster who has spent over a decade in the larp community. From Houston, she’s one of the original writers for The Night in Question and is coming back to steer the writing team toward an even darker and bloodier second run. As a passionate advocate for highly-immersive, theatrical larp, she’s contributed to Peculiar Crossing’s Armistice Arcane, written for Reverie Studio’s Eskhaton, and creates self-running larps for first-time immersive enthusiasts.
Ever drawn to things that go bump in the night, Rachel stays connected to the World of Darkness as a member of the Mind’s Eye Society where she’s acted as a Storyteller and Coordinator over her many years in the hobby. She also works with Onyx Path Publishing as a freelance writer bringing her creativity to Vampire the Masquerade 5th Edition, Requiem, and Scion.
When she isn’t writing, Rachel goes on romps through the witchy world of divination, fortune-tellers, and spiritual mystics in her podcast Lifemancy to help mainstream the occult for everyday people.
So where will you be on the Night in Question? Don’t miss out, get your tickets now!

Want to be a unique part of the Night In Question’s horrific experience, and help create an amazing horror atmosphere? Would you like to be a scream queen or king for a night?
We’re offering a special deal to players who want to participate but are willing to help us create the atmosphere and horror of the game in exchange for a lower price. The Blood Bags are players who will receive a simplified character concept to play out early in the evening, and then will be the victims of our vampiric players for the rest of the night! You’ll get chased by vicious vampires. You get covered in gore and blood. You’ll get to be the set piece of scenes of bloody carnage, or be the friend that the hideous Sabbat makes their new recruits kill. And you get to die over and over again in fun new ways as the night goes on.
Best of all, it’s only $39 to participate, and is great for anyone who likes a bloody participatory horror experience and becoming part of an awesome horror atmosphere. Only 35 are available, so grab them while they are still there!
To make it easier to pay for the Night In Question, we offer an installment plan where you pay a little less than half to reserve a ticket. The remaining amount is due by midnight on July 1st.
If you want to take advantage of this plan, sales for installment tickets cuts off this week, midnight on May 31st.
May the night find you all well, Cainites. Here are some updates on the game and answers to some common questions.
One, thank you so much to everyone who shared and supported this project. We could not have reached 100+ players without you, and it’s an amazing moment for our team and for Vampire: The Masquerade LARP in general. So what now?
The Hampton Inn in Bastrop has offered a block of discounted rooms to our players, at a discount rate. This will also be the site of our briefing and workshops the day of the game, so it makes it the best option for lodging for our players.
To get your rooms at a discount rate, book online with the group code NIQ or call the hotel and or call 1-800-HILTONS and ask for the Night in Question Group.
24 days ago, Jackalope Live Action Studios stepped forward and proposed a new and awesome way of experiencing the World of Darkness like never before.
Our estimates were that we’d maybe sell out our early bird tickets by the start of July, and we based our budget on that being the minimum needed to run our event.
Boy, were we ever wrong
As of this morning, all of our early bird tickets are sold, only 81 out of 100 of the standard tickets are left, and almost all of our premium packages have sold. We’re already on track to selling out the event completely. We’ve even talked about opening up a second run of the game if we have enough demand.
Over 100 people are already signed up to show up in November and breath a life into this night of blood, fun and terror.
Jackalope understands we’re a young studio, though all of us our veterans of running and playing LARP. We know that this represents a huge amount of trust and confidence being placed in us, both by our partners at White Wolf and all of our new fans and friends. We won’t let you down, and we’re proud that you have seen something in us worth fostering.
What’s next?
If you have already bought your tickets, let your friends know to get theirs before they run out. Watch your inbox for more updates, as our event team will contact you with important details. If you haven’t yet, get yours while you still can. We can only have so many people at the game.
Stay tuned in the next few weeks – we will be publishing more details on the game experience and our techniques, we will be announcing our hotel room block details so you can get discounted rooms for the event and we will have more fun plans coming up.
Also, if you are a member of Mind’s Eye Society, Underground Theater or One World By Night, pay attention to your organization’s announcements. We’re about to give some special fund-raising opportunities to those organizations which have fostered Vampire: The Masquerade LARP for all these years.
Jackalope Live Action Studios will be hosting a Q&A livestream on Twitch! March 4th, 2018 at 7PM Central Standard Time. Feel free to drop in and ask any questions!
